We’re on the look-out for an experienced, driven and professional Business Development Manager for our South West/Lanarkshire Scotland region.

Covering a region that stretches from the Borders up to Lanarkshire, you’ll be focused primarily on identifying and converting new business customers, but will work closely with area sales managers to help development relationships with our existing customer base.  In addition to our own well-loved brands like Tennents, Magners and Caledonian Best, we also represent ABInbev portfolio north of the border, giving you an unparalleled opportunity to sell a fantastic range of brands that consumers love.

So what’s involved?

As Business Development Manager you’ll be the ‘face’ of our brands in the local market. You’ll be personally responsible for creating a high profile and building positive relationships with new and existing customers. Through those relationships you’ll open up and develop quality and sustainable new accounts.

Your daily duties will cover all aspects of growing the regions customer base while creating new business, commercial support for your customers and management, and maximizing trade investment opportunities.

What you’ll need?

  • A successful track record in a Wholesale / Brewery / FMCG sales role
  • A full UK driving license
  • Good Microsoft Office skills
  • Tenacity and a genuine desire to build sustainable relationships
  • A naturally logical and organised approach to your work.
  • And existing on-trade network in the South West/Lanarkshire Scotland area would obviously be very helpful

Who you’ll be:

Tenacious. You’re motivated to do a great job and deliver brilliant results. As a friendly, positive team-mate, your enthusiasm and flexibility helps motivate the people around you. You love being in a busy, dynamic environment.

Trusted. You’re conscientious about doing things well. When you say you’ll do something, your colleagues know it’ll get done. You take responsibility for your actions, and make the safety and welfare of the whole team your biggest priority.

Tempted. You look for opportunities to learn new things, and actively seek out ways to continually improve things at work. You’ll be able to give examples of times when you’ve seen opportunities to improve and shared ideas on how to solve problems.

True. You know that you’re a key part of a wider team, and build strong relationships with colleagues that are based on mutual respect. You keep the big picture in mind, and enjoy working as part of a team to achieve a common goal.
